Ishimwe Prince Archimedes is a passionate refugee youth advocate, innovator, and student of Petroleum Engineering and Environmental Management at Mbarara University of Science and Technology in Uganda. Born and raised in a refugee setting, Prince brings lived experience, empathy, and unwavering commitment to the mission of Refugee Youth Changemakers (RYCM).
From his early years in secondary school, Prince has been a vocal and active supporter of refugee rights, especially in the fields of education, healthcare access, and youth leadership. His advocacy has reached both national and international platforms, having contributed to refugee-focused projects and organizations in Uganda and Rwanda. He played a central role in mentoring youth and has worked to connect vulnerable communities with meaningful educational opportunities.
Prince is also a tech-savvy leader—skilled in digital communications and innovation for impact. His work spans across climate resilience, environmental justice, and tech-enabled solutions for marginalized communities. As a healthcare and sustainability enthusiast, he envisions a future where young people lead community-driven change using practical skills and ethical leadership.
At RYCM, Prince supports public relations, programming and advocacy strategy. His goal is to continue leveraging his voice and technical expertise to transform refugee narratives and empower the next generation of African changemakers.
